Mix It, Match It, Make It Slalom

MAKE IT SLALOM

Slalom is not just another acoustical product—it’s a whole design system with the ability to mix and match. Designers can experiment with profiles, materials, and colors to make it Slalom!

MILAN-MADE WITH DESIGN PEDIGREE

Made in Milan by Slalom Acoustics, this collection is designed by architects, for architects. Founder Elettra Pellegrin, a second-generation manufacturer with a background in architecture, leads the company with a balance of technical savvy and a passion for form. Gensler highlighted Slalom as a spotlight guest during their “Milancon” series, citing Slalom’s contribution to design innovation. The brand also earned a 2024 Red Dot “Best of the Best” award in the acoustics category.

"Shapes, materials, and performance are closely linked. Our commitment is always to offer attractive products with basic and clean lines.”

TUFTED, FLAT, OR FLUTED? YES, PLEASE!

From sleek wool felt wallcovering to sculptural fluted panels, Slalom gives designers the power to create rich visual layers using the same textile across both flat and dimensional surfaces. Their velcro-backed panels make installation straightforward—whether they’re glued, nailed, or screwed. The result? A continuous, coordinated wall system with a tailored look and real acoustic performance.

Check out this bold example from Unispace Milan, where yellow felt moves fluidly from smooth to tufted surfaces.

A NEW KIT OF PARTS FOR ACOUSTIC DESIGN

Slalom brings a kit-of-parts approach to acoustic solutions. Whether your space calls for flat felted walls or deeply textured 3D surfaces, Slalom gives you the tools to build a seamless palette with architectural integrity.

  • ECOrange -A collection of thermoformed panels, with varying densities, born from an engineered process. Lightweight, high-performance and single-material, the panels in this collection, with recycled polyester inner material, offer a variety of possibilities in terms of size, shape and finish. The panels can be single-sided to be placed side-by-side and adhered to surfaces, or double-sided for remote and free-standing applications.
  • TAILOR MADE -A tailor-made system of sound-absorbing panels made of recycled and recyclable polyester fibres. Available in two types: T-FRAME, a panel with a rigid internal structure, and T-LIGHT, a lightweight panel with visible seams. Both are recycled, recyclable and 100% customisable, so leave room for ideas, oversizes and imagination, we will assist you in creating YOUR panel!!
  • FLUTED PANELS -Acoustically absorbent fabric panels with fluted textures, available in molded or hand-crafted styles, designed for walls, ceilings, and creative installations.
  • TUFTED PANELS -Slalom’s thermoformed panels have a pleasing tufted appearance. These sound panels combine soft textures and sound absorption. Slalom provides visually striking solutions for walls and ceilings that blend acoustics with contemporary design.
  • WOODY -Woody panels utilize cutting-edge thermoforming technology to fuse FSC-certified wood veneer with recycled plastic fibers, creating a sound-absorbing solution with an ultra-fine micro-perforated surface. This patent-pending innovation ensures exceptional acoustic performance without additional substructures, offering a sleek and contemporary look that enhances any interior space.

“Innovation: A keyword that contains multiple facets. For Slalom, it means the use of new/sustainable/performing materials and combinations of materials.”

EVERYTHING GOES WITH EVERYTHING

Slalom’s color and texture palette is curated with intention. Their materials range from real wool to boucle, Trevira, PET felt, and even a velvet so soft it begs to be touched. Better yet, the same fabric can be used across flat and 3D surfaces. That means you can create wall-to-wall installations where the acoustics disappear—and the design sings.

In Stockholm, designer Teklan used Slalom to mix pastel tones across form and finish in a way that’s both cohesive and joyful.
